Sorry for going AWOL...

So, after almost a year of inactivity, I have a lot to catch up on. Sorry for not posting for a significant time, I am going to try again at this consistent posting thing... You know how they say, 'Try, try again'?

First off, the good news: My next book is about to drop! Here's the cover art!

This is a direct sequel to Pride of a King, picking up a couple of months after the events of that book. According to Amazon, it's set to ship on December 16th, but the publisher is saying it may be out a little earlier than that. We'll see! I am super excited to see another of my stories in print! It's always exciting.

In other writing news, I've become an official freelance writer for Mantic Games! I have just finished up the process along with a team of talented writers such as Mark Barber, author of Steps to Deliverance; Scott Washburn, author of Broken Alliance; and the renowned CL Werner of Black Library, Marvel, and New York Times Bestseller fame! Quite an awe-inspiring crew! The first book of official background lore for the game Kings of War will also be coming out in December and is titled Invasion. It deals with the Xirkaali, an army of kobold dog-warriors invading the lands of Pannithor, and the responses from an alliance of Elves, Halflings, and the aquatic Trident Realm as they attempt to repel them.

I will be helping with the remainder of the Mantic lore books for Kings of War, so be on the lookout for those, too!

Furthermore, I've finished up recording an audiobook version of my book Drowned Secrets and have passed it on to Winged Hussar who will be looking to distribute it once they figure out methods for doing so. It should be available on Audible and possibly other major audiobook retailers, so keep an eye out for it!

Lastly, I have begun organizing a new project for the high school at which I work and will make a more detailed blog post about in the near future concerning an association that I am putting together that will help provide a safe space for school-age youth to gather and play games, and socialize using tabletop games like Kings of War and Warhammer 40k. I am very excited about the prospects for this project and am looking for other educators across the United States who might be interested in collaborating on it. Tabletop gaming has been a significant part of my life, serving as one of my greatest outlets for creativity and enjoyment. It has also been a way for me to build connections with my own children. All of these things are incredibly important to me, and I want to open that world up to other kids who might benefit from the support a community like that can provide.

It has been a really busy year, and this post only scratches at the surface of what has happened. Watch this space for future posts where I will keep you updated on these and future projects that I am working on. I have a lot to talk about!
